Daryl Rhys Jones, Ph.D., Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology at Mayo Clinic in Florida talks about the Irritable Bowel Syndrome research study. Researchers at Mayo Clinic’s campus in Jacksonville, FL. are investigating a new way to identify a leaky gut in irritable bowel syndrome using a special technique called probe-based laser confocal endomicroscopy. The research doctors are also exploring the lining of the gut and how this might be related to gut sensitivity and symptoms of IBS. If you have IBS, or are a healthy volunteer interested in participating in this study, please call Dr Daryl Jones at 904 953 8101 or jones.daryl@mayo.edu. Patients are compensated for their time.
