The Magnesium and constipation relationship-does it work?

Thanks. I like the way you explain things.

Carlo Bari says:

Never had a problem with constipation until I started a low carb diet. When
you stop taking carbs in for fuel(a good thing) your body takes the carbs
from your hidden fat in your body.(That’s a good thing). When the body
tries passing all that fat it naturally slows up in the intestines and
solidifies on its journey out. Your body depletes magnesium on this diet
which aids in easier elimination. If you become low in magnesium you may
need to supplement it in your diet. Check with your Dr. first.

Probiotics and digestive enzymes should only be used for a very short time,
they can damage the intestinal system over the long run.

I can say I was suffering from very bad constipation.Pro biotics were
helping some but not enuff. If I don’t take Magnesium I will still be
constipated.Magnesium helps me have a bowl movement very easily with no
struggle at all and has greatly eased the stomach and digestive pain I’ve
had.I’m scheduled to see a gastintestinal surgeon on the 16th of June.If
this keeps up I can tell the surgeon when I see him The pain has greatly
improved for the better. At least so far since I’ve taken magnesium.
