Learn about the Vata body-type [Ayuvedic Dosha] and how to live and eat to balance Vata. typical Vata imbalances of Vata dominant individuals are generally cold hands and feet, gas and bloating, constipation, dry skin, anxiety, poor sleep and often joint pain later in life.

Ayurveda teaches that there are different body-types with different digestive systems, and that our diet needs to be based on what will support good digestion; not what necessarily has worked for someone else. In all cases, digestion will improve by following your appropriate diet, thus nutritional absorption will improve and thus overall health will improve. with a diet that answers the call of your own body, like magic many typical health conditions of each body-type fade away.

Queen Queenly says:

Thank you for this important video, I am Vata, and I needed this
information badly.

suffiice says:

I’m a vata vegan who gets migraines and can wake up very disconnected and
not grounded sometimes. I have found that one cup of coffee a day with warm
soy milk has been the most effective cure for grounding. I don’t know why
this is and I always read that coffee isn’t good for vata types. It doesnt
agitate me but actually calms me down and stops my anxiety, flitting
thoughts and brings me back into my body. Anyone got any thoughts on this?

MALayhee700 says:

Back after 2 months, I haven’t been consistent, coffee is hard to stop
using. But I have tried ashwagandha in warm raw milk, with raw honey and
cinnamon… It’s delicious and waaaay better than coffee. It just pricey as
all.

I know this isn’t an astrology video. I am just sort of feeling mixed and
all

Astrology from the vedas and greeks works.. awesome that’s cool
I am just thinking of some serious stuff as to whether or not there is free
will and such, if not then whatever.

I have nearly every single quality of Vata, and have been getting very out
of balanced, even to the point of getting diagnosed with leukemia. Your
video is extremely helpful. Is there a list of these things somewhere
online, or a book you can recommend? Thank you so much. :)

Lori H says:

I have been eating this way for about 3 days and I feel so much better,
not 100% but better to the point that I want to tell everyone give it a
shot. :)

LoveGuruBlaire says:

I’m never constipated :)

LoveGuruBlaire says:

Denisse Sopita says:

Great video! I would like to know more about the doshas, the Vata in
particular. Could you recommend any books?

MALayhee700 says:

I’m 21 and vedic astrology is amazing. I was shocked at how accurate 2
astrologers who ever met me, and explained over the phone my life details
and attributes.

I drink a ton of coffee(clean and authentic, non GMO) and I’m trying to rid
myself of coffee. Trying to be as healthy as I can without much money.

Veet Manan says:

i have problem of nasal obstruction and anxiety, sleep problem. My body type
is average. What is imbalance , only vatta or both kapha and vatta ?

Marina Williams says:

Very helpful! Thank you!

Hamish Elliott says:

I’m a bit skeptical about this sort of information. Would you be able to
suggest any scientific journals I could read to learn more?

S. Reid says:

Very helpful, thank you!!

Aerith Jasmin Moon says:

Loved this, and try to follow a vata diet and feel great when I do But I do
this as a vegan.

naturally_glam says:

Is drinking hot or warm green tea acceptable for a Vata dosha?

Jim Spencer says:

Thanks for the information. I have studied a bit of Ayurvedic and taken
some classes. I am still trying to find the perfect balance for me. I’m
high Vata with Kapha. I have for several years been vegan. I have never
done well with dairy (though recommended for vata) and never have really
been a meat eater. In my youth I was allergic to pork, and did not do well
with eggs or shell fish. Overall since I have been vegan I have not had
any major health issues till this year where in CA we have had
exceptionally windy dry and warm winter/spring. We never really got a
winter. Thus, I had a stomach issue and bronchial challenges.. sort of
difficult to balance vata-kapha. My body does like many of vata foods–
warm veggie soups, steamed sweet potato, oily foods like avocado etc. Do
you have any special recommendations Khabir for vegan foods/prep that
strengthen digestion and lung.. for vata -kapha? I’m dealing with both
dryness/inflammatory response as well as mucus lung/sluggish digestion..
and a bit of water/retention.. etc. Usually I’m in good balance.. the last
few months have been challenging. Thanks. (I don’t do well too as vata
with most beans.. But do lentils.

Annie Huntley says:

Thank you! I am so a vatta, and you are basically describing me exactly. I
appreciate your knowledge.

julie comtois says:

i was wondering how we can conciliate different dosha types when we make
food for the family?

144Donn says:

Thank you. Not only was the information valuable, but the tone and manner
of delivery was most pleasant and enjoyable. Thank you!

Gauraonline says:

Everything was great except recommendation of meat or fish

NaturalHI says:

My digestion is erratic, along with erratic hypertension, yet I’m
overweight. My online dosha quiz says I’m a vata-kapha, yet I have issues
with the liver/gallbladder with sludgy bile along with gallstones. I don’t
know where to start. We don’t have Ayurvedic Practitioners here in Hawaii.

Longlife Energy says:

Thanks for your very informative video. It’s quite helpful.
