Constipation in dogs is a commonplace occurence but it should not be treated lightly. It can have many causes and serious effects, if not paid attention to. For mild constipation, 2tsp of parrafin and 1/2 tsp of parraffin for big dogs and small dogs respectively, may be added to their food. Do not give the dog paraffin directly for if direct inhalation may cause pneumonia. Chronic constipation can also be healed by adding 1tsp of psyllium to their food. Do consult the local vet if the constipation persists.
