Professor Peter Gibson is Head of Gastroenterology at Monash University and an internationally renowned expert in the field. On 30 October 2013, he presented on the problem of Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) and gut symptoms in general and about the world-wide fascination with dietary cures. He describes the controversy surrounding wheat intolerance, the most current research and outlines the new dietary approach, the low FODMAP diet, that is changing the way doctors and dietitians help people with IBS to manage their problem. The lecture was part of 2013 Melbourne Knowledge Week.

Excellent dietary information and bodily functional process lecture whilst
it will take time to see it all and you may find it full on I feel its
worth watching
Finally I really have a good reason to go in 100 % with FODMAP! thanks.
Wonderful breakthrough for Australian Medical Research
Did Dr. Shephard compare the vitamin deficiencies before and after patients
went on a gluten-free diet? I ask, because celiac disease and damage to the
gut is known to cause issues of malabsorption – so this is not necessarily
the fault of the actual gluten-free diet itself.
Thank you very much for posting this video. excluding sugar and gluten has
transformed my life. No more nausea in the morning, no more unpredictable
episodes of diarrhea and no more constant abdominal pain.
The low FODMAPs diet transformed my wife’s life. That’s why we’re now
making a low FODMAP protein bar:

Help with IBS
The slides for the big FODMAP study were not really shown properly at all.
Most unfortunate. Would be awesome to see that fixed in the video.
