Dr. Berglund talks about what it takes to get a healthy bowel movement. He discusses the anatomy and physiology of the colon and what happens when we get “bound up” or constipated. The large intestine has needs: water, fiber, and probiotics in order to function properly. Food allergies/sensitivities can cause diarrhea or constipation.

Dr. Berglund has spent over twenty years at his clinic in southeast Wisconsin helping people improve their health without drugs or surgery. For more information about his clinic and for other health problems, see his website at http://berglundcenter.com. What’s a good probiotic to get? I have one type but never tried it yet.
Just kinda paranoid about trying something not approved by the drug
administration.. But I am curious..

Mark Page says:

I had diviticulitis surgery ten years ago and sometimes I get diarreah it
always makes me paranoid and afraid diviticulitis is returning. My question
is should I take over the counter meds when I have watery stool or just let
it run its course? I’m so nervous everytime I get it. I do whatever I can
not to have it. Why do you think sometimes diarreah happens anyway?

Michael Berglund says:

Wondering why we get constipated? Interested in natural solutions to get
your bowel movements more regular?
